FARCAMP
the onchain summer camp
a dream come true
FarCamp is set on a sprawling 135 acre property in the Yosemite foothills with 41 buildings for activities and lodging, hiking trails, courts and fields for sports, auditoriums and amphitheaters for music, presentations, housing for 400, commercial kitchens, large dining areas, yoga rooms, pools, ponds, river swimming holes and more. The property has spent the last 50 years as a youth camp, it’s really easy to have fun here and also to connect with nature. We recently purchased this historic space and are in the process of converting it into an event venue for connection and growth.
adventure
Join our a group tour of Yosemite National Park, one of the most historic places on earth - where the conservation movement began. Visit our neighbor’s llama therapy farm, explore wondrous moaning caverns, walk among the giant sequoias. We’ll also make trips to the nearby casino and gold rush towns.
activities
Take a break from coding and take a walk on the wild side. Our camp experience includes activities: hiking and biking around Yosemite, petting and brushing llamas, yoga, meditation, karaoke, pickleball, zip-line, archery, pool parties, dance parties, NERF battlefield, s'mores by the fire, movie nights, a hackathon space, and several Starlink connections around the camp.
amenities
Did someone say Pickleball Bracket?! Start your day off right with a trip to the sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, swimming pools, water slide, and then have an espresso by the fireplace. Hang out with friends in the game room or play pickleball on our courts!
living spaces
Hackers will stay in our cabins or the lodge with dorm-style sleeping arrangements with a sink in every room. Sponsors will have their own hacker houses with full kitchens and private bathrooms.
/ted talks
FarCamp’s modern conference center fits 400 friends. We want you to speak on our stage - or by the fire pits - or even in a small circle of friends in the middle of the woods. We spoke briefly with /ted while helping to shut down FarCon and she asked “what can i do to help?”. The answer: Let’s pick a week to host a FarConCamp. McBain suggested a family camp, and we are 100% down to do that. Let’s vote on a week for FamilyFarCamp.
farhack too
Calling all artists, builders, creators, developers, event organizers, founders, gamers, hackers, and investors - we want you! We sat down with Luciano and he laid out a detailed plan of how we can support a FarHack at FarCamp. We are planning to host a hackathon October 22-25 after ETH SF.
